Mel Trudell, CEO & President
Founder and President Mel Trudell first discovered his love for handmade excellence at age 15, during his first task at a mattress company: sweeping the factory floor. This simple job gave him the unique opportunity to explore the industry at every level and examine industry standards and techniques first-hand. He soon discovered an urgent need for improvement and created Custom Comfort Mattress. Using the traditional American craft of mattress-making, he personally constructed each mattress by hand and grew the family-owned business on an unswerving commitment to handcrafted quality.
Gary Trudell, Owner & Sales
Gary began his Custom Comfort career in delivery, investing his spare time in learning the handmade craft. This wide range of experience allowed Gary to open his own showroom in Fullerton and join his brothers Mel and Marty in Orange. Gary now works with the executive team to develop and implement innovative business strategies.
Jeremy Solis, Director of Operations
Jeremy launched his career at a young age as a floor-sweeper in the Custom Comfort workshop. After committing time in all departments, Jeremy gathered sufficient experience to excel in his position as Director of Operations. He currently manages purchasing, manufacturing and product development.
Maroun Nehme, Director of Sales
Maroun began his career at Custom Comfort in delivery before taking over direct inventory and distribution. In 2000, he joined the sales team and implemented efficiency procedures that led to his promotion to Director of Sales in 2004. He currently oversees business operations and conducts management training. Maroun holds an MBA from Cal State Fullerton.
