Custom Comfort Mattress began in 1986 as a celebration of time-honored traditions. Our vision was to design a better mattress using traditional upholstery techniques. Our first product: a single made-to-order mattress.
California has deep-seated roots in developing innovative thinking and mastering new crafts. And as native Californians passionate about improving the factory-dominated modern mattress industry, brothers Mel and Marty Trudell accepted the challenge more than 25 years ago to bring craftsmanship back to mattress-making.
Over the years, Custom Comfort has evolved from a single mattress line to feature six diverse collections designed to satisfy each and every sleeper. Our original commitment, however, remains unchanged. We still practice quality craftsmanship with the goal of delivering sublime comfort with our handmade American beds.
